For this month’s Story of Hope, Nancy shares a moving story which shows us what faithful prayer can do.
One morning getting ready for work God told me to pray for my daughter Kelly who was driving to Atlanta for a meeting, this was at 7:20 am and at 7:30 am the phone rings and it is Kelly and I could tell something was wrong. She explained to me she thought she was going to die that morning. In front of her was as small truck with a ladder that came flying off and headed right for her and should of come crashing through the windshield, but as it was 1 inch from hitting her, it was like the ladder was lifted up and over her car and did not even hit the back of her car or any other car that was further behind her. She said it was like a hand had lifted it up and over and she didn’t know how that could of happened. I asked her what time did this happened and she said 7:20 and I proceeded to tell her that I heard God say, “Start praying for Kelly.” Which I did immediately. We both got to see the hand of God in our lives, so when people do not believe in prayer, I always tell them that it makes all the difference in the world. We need to stay in prayer, always keep a loving relationship with God, and always be aware of His voice when He speaks to us in different ways.  I give God all the  glory for how He saved and protected my daughter that day. In my life He has done this many times with many other stories and I love when I see God working in my life or other lives that I pray for. There is power in prayer!!! Amen.
