Dear Friends,

Jesus said in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Carrying the light of Jesus in a dark world is a high calling.  We carry his light to our families, to our places of work, to the poor, to the weak and to the disenfranchised among us. We are the light of the world.

Naomi Esi Amoah, founder of Royal Seed Home, shines the light of Christ by rescuing abandoned children in her homeland of Ghana.  Called by God to care for every child who makes his or her way to Naomi’s doorstep, she has rescued more than 200 children since founding Royal Seed Home in 2002.

Two weeks ago, on August 22, 2014, Naomi received precious baby Kofi Amoah shortly after he was born.  Kofi’s birth mother was very troubled during her pregnancy and abandoned Kofi at a garbage dump the day she gave birth to him.  Since coming to Royal Seed, Kofi has received medical care for birth-related health issues and he has improved dramatically.  You can see in these pictures how Kofi is getting better every day.

We thank God for the work of Royal Seed Home. He has a purpose for every life born. Please pray Kofi will continue to heal and grow healthy and strong.  Amen.

Friends, we are all called to let the light of Christ within us shine bright for his glory. One way you can let your light shine and make a difference in the life of a child is to give a donation to the work of Royal Seed Home.  Every gift of $25 provides enough food to feed a child for one month.

Visit our website and see how you can get involved.

Thank you and God Bless!

these are the type of things that happen everyday and lives are lost! If there was an opening like that in every country then the rate would have been reduced. May God bless you all for saving the baby’s life! May More graces be showered on you.

You and your team and families are in my prayers. Thank you for
Visiting Asia and the Philippines specifically. We hope you will return and give concerts to larger and more diverse audiences in different cities, especially those places where the gospel needs to be proclaimed: Tondo, Payatas, Lanao, Cotabato, etc. God bless!

Thank you Don and team for visiting us in Southeast Asia these last two weeks. The Lord has used your music to call us to worship and draw closer to Him, I trust He has done the same during the concerts these past days whether in Jakarta, Bandung, Singapore or Manila. As you return to the US and prepare for your concerts in Italy and Nigeria in the next two months, we pray for the Lord’s protection and blessings.

May I also suggest that as Don has the privilege to be travelling to different countries, that perhaps he might consider beginning to assemble an international choir or group of musicians. Perhaps include Asians, Europeans, Africans, Middle Eastern, South Americans in the choir. It might also be good if choir dress in simple but elegant attire with no distracting jewelry (like the Tabernacle Choir) to make singing more drawn to the Lord rather than to the singers. Perhaps at some point when the international singers are assembled, they can even wear their native costumes on stage so that different cultures, peoples can and will identify with them. Don now belongs to the world community it is but fitting that his team be identified as an international team rather than an American team.

I can see the potential of Don and his team in breaking into places where missionaries have difficulty getting visas and working permits, where bringing in the Bible or the Word of God is considered a crime, and where military forces (US, NATO, UN) are unsuccessful in making peace. But his team has to become “culturally” identified as a non-western team, and less and less an “American” singing group. His worship songs address the God of the Universe and all cultures acknowledge THE GOD of the Universe. There is no contradiction in that. We just know this God more in the Person of Jesus Christ.

I think Don and his team are in the right track… Worship God, lift up the Son on the Cross and He will draw men to Him. Evangelism happens as we worship Him and set Him on the throne that belongs to Him. I’ve seen many evangelical programs come and go. They start with a bang but later fizzle off because they forgot what the gospel is all about, not bringing in many converts to baptism, not filling in chuch pews with people, not reaching the rich to help fund church buildings, etc. The gospel is always the REIGN, the KINGDOM of the Eternal God. And when Don and his team bring us to worship and praise, and as we rise up or bow down in worship of this One God revealed in Jesus Christ, He will be glorified and as He is glorified, He works in the hearts of believers and unbelievers to recognize that indeed He is the true God of the universe.

Prayers and good wishes for a safe sojourn to your base camp in the US! Please don’t stay too long till your next visit. Come visit us again, and if possible stay longer (6 months or 1 year?) to truly get to fellowship with your Southeast Asian, particularly Filipino, fellow-believers. Take care and God bless!
